would anybody have pictures of a mecanical roxel(eaton 2 speed). on my 42 2ton there,s a roxel lever on driver side off cab but no more linkage. my front wheels have 5 studs and rear axle have 6 studs. at some point the cab was changed due too an accident, and replaced with a 47 cab. so i was told by owner son! and the roxel is now vaccum operated. i,m thinking maybe they replaced rear axle a same time as cab!! would like too install it mecanical again!!!
would like too see the linkage between lever and 2 speed (roxel). especially at the differential end. on my differential there,s a diaphram . i imagine on the mecanical models it must of been some kind off lever. anybody have a picture or link of this set up.
Mine is titled as a true 47 and it has all vacuum mechanism. 5 lugs on everything. I'm sure you could dream up a pretty easy manual linkage. My brother used to drive those old vw microbus things with some kind of 4 speed shift linkage all the way aft. All you need is two positions. I have a nice pto lever that would be a good start if you need it.
i did really get down on a system, shouldn,t be too complicated. but i would like to copy an original one . thanks on the offer i got the arm it was still in cab with nothing hook up. old guys tell me it was better, because you new it was in. i just want too keep it because i find it neat!
bernette,
Wish I could help but I've never seen that setup before. Would be cool if you can get it rigged up again. The 2 speed under my parts truck is vacuum operated and has 5 lugs.
i ask this on the ford barn and stu had a diagram with rods . i got a few pictures there but never seen the pivot on the frame. bring this back up in case someone would have more information . it will be one of my first projects in a few weeks,so i would like to have some kinda plan ready !
happy new year to you to joe ! i will come up with something ,but not sure what it will be yet. we got quit a bit of snow ,it started last night and slowed down this afternoon. when i went outside after dinner to open my yard i had my tall felt rubber boots on, the snow was a few inches below, so i guess we got a bit over a foot. now the winds picking up and there announcing a cold spell,my drive will probably be plug up tommorrow.
I would much rather have snow than rain! We officially beat the rainfall record for this part of PA with 58" of rain for the year. My yard is like a swamp and we live on the side of a steep hill.
I will have to look, I may have photos or diagrams someplace. I can tell you that that handle hooks up to a cable which goes along the frame and over to the axle in the back. You can have the cable made.
