The pipe plug thing is quite interesting. Talk about overthinking an issue.

I don't even know what a pipe plug is? My son Zack & I changed the oil
in 4 cars yesterday - never felt any concern about the half second it takes to fill the oil filter. I do want to wish ill will to the engineers at Toyota who had the great foresight to put the Sienna oil filter right under the red hot exhaust
manifold.
