'65 390 Cruiseomatic converter drainback

I am having a problem with the converter draining back and overfilling the trans case causing a leak out the breather pipe and slow transmission startup after sitting for awhile.
Is there a check valve in the converter or is it in the trans itself?

same issue here. i *think* mine was due to overfilling, though. the leak seems to have stopped just recently. (either that, or the tranny has gone dry...)

I have the same problem with a C6 and will be replacing the TC in a few weeks. FWIW, post this ? in the auto trans/drivetrain on this site. google broaders transmissions.

No 390's (or 360's) installed in F100/350's until 1968. 1965/67 F100/350's came with 352's and MX Cruise-O-Matic (except 4WD) that has 14 trans pan bolt holes.

On sale day, 352's magically become 390's!
