Iam going to R&R my trans soon and want to know if its worth upgrading the converter. Quick history of whats up. My trans in my dually started to slip and its been sitting for about a month now. Well its time to get it running so with the way things are I just can't blow $4100 plus shipping for a BTS trans so Iam going to remove the trans and have a shop down the road overhaul it. The shop has just overhauled my old boss's 4r100 trans in his dually and he has allready put 26K miles on it hauling boats up and down the east coast so he kinda proved to me that this trans shop is ok. So anyway while the trans is out should I upgrade to one of those triple disc billet converters?
Anybody that has only upgraded there converter please let me know how the truck ran after the upgrade. I allready have a BTS valve body that will go in the new overhauled trans, and all other supporting mods. i just want to know if its even worth the converter upgrade or should I just save the $1,000. Oh yeah I drive the truck as a daily driver allmost 75% of the time unloaded and then the other 25% of the time its towing my boat which boat and trailer weight only 6500lbs.

If it were mine I would definitely put the upgraded one in. It only makes sense to as far as I'm concerned. I don't have any experience with the converter you mentioned but I'm sure you'll get an answer here out of someone soon enough. This site is the bomb!

Yes this site rocks
I what to know from guys that have done an upgraded converter swap only. Not somebody that has done a complete killer trans that came with the upgraded converter becasue its going to shift, drive completely diffrent then what I have.
