Shock advice

I just installed the Rancho 9000XL with the Wireless My Ride (I also posted a thread on FTE of it for install instructions) and am extremely happy with them.
Having the instant flexibility to change the settings on-the-fly is my main reason for choosing these. I live on a dirt road then go to pavement. Sometimes I tow and sometimes not.
Being able to change the shocks to suit the need is outstanding...

I would agree with this, I had them on my 96 F350, although, not the fancy wireless part 
and being able to tailor the ride was nice, I would crank them up when towing the 5'ver, and soft when just driving a taxi, Little more firm on the twisties, soft on the hi-way.

I just installed Monroe Reflex shocks about two months ago and I am happy with them. The first two answers you got were excellent at showing how Ranchos are good because you can adjust as needed.
In my situation, I do not tow and never go off road, or even on dirt roads for that matter, so these shocks work for me. In other words... I don't need the flexibility of the Ranchos.
Hope that helps. I guess you can't go wrong and your choice will be shaped by what your needs are.

I just installed Rancho 7000s on my truck this afternoon, and even though only on the front, the ride is wayyy better. My truck used to be very bouncy when i hit a bump, its very stable now, and seems to absorb bumps rather than just shake the whole truck. I cant wait til i can afford to put some on the rear

When I bought my X about 2 months ago... It had procomps es9000 and it was horrible... It was good for offroad but on street, you will feel every bump... I had switched them with Monroe Reflex's and it was a big difference... I would purposely find a pothole or a big bump to drive my X into it just so I can have a reason to try out the ranchos but the Reflexes are doing its job so no need to replace them with another brand. Also, Lifetime warranty on those. Basically, from here on out, I will not spend anything regarding Shocks. Labor is mine and Shocks are Lifetime warranty.
