Question rancho advice

i wanna upgrade my 2004 f250 gas sc lb 4x4 shocks and i'm lookin at the ranchos. should i get the 9000x or the 5000? i don't off road at all and never will. are the 5000s a good shock for the money or should i spend the extra on the 9000x? is it pointless to get the 9000x cuz i dont off road? i dont tow anything yet and i may haul an occasional load. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm still running the orginal shocks, but from what I have read on other fourms the Bilstein shocks are better than the Rancho.

I don't offroad either. I went with 9000x series. You can set them as firm as you like manually. They helped my truck quite a bit. I used to get alot of road hop and leaning in turns. Much improved. Bilsteins are great too. Either one and you'll like them.

I want to add the remote control at some point to change the settings on the fly.

go with the bilsteins. i have used both. the bilsteins are a lot better on the highway and last a heck of a lot longer.

Get the Ranchos 9000s and get the in cab controller too; you won't be sorry. The in-cab allows you to easily change the stiffness of the shocks while driving (front and back independantly) to match your ride style/situation. I especially like this setup for towing.

If you want a "one ride fits all" solution, go with Bilsteins.
If you want a customizeable solution, go with Ranchos.

Longevtiy: They both have lifetime warranties so you'll be good to go.

Mike
