1955 f100 heavy duty 3 speed drive shaft

1955 f100 heavy duty 3 speed drive shaft
Does anyone know what the dimensions of a swb 3hd trans drive shaft? Since the transmission has no slip yoke it must use a two piece drive shaft and carrier bearing. Is there a unique crossmember for the carrier bearing?

1953/56 F100 with H/D 3 M/T (4 speed not same, 3" shorter).

I wouldn't doubt you can find one from someone who is converting to a modern drivetrain. A driveshaft shop can make one up from scratch.

Jeff, I have a drive shaft like that out of a 56 f100. I wounded why it was different from the other f100 drive shafts I've seen. We can arrange to get it sent to you if you want it. Send me a private message early next week if interested.

Ross, the drive shaft came from a 56 parts truck I bought that didn't come with the transmission. The splined front of the shaft still has the universal joint pressed on. The overall length is 63 1/2 inches which is what my Ford parts book shows is correct for the midfifties F100s withe the 3 speed heavy duty 3 speed trannys. Jeff you can have it for $45.00 if your friend picks it up. $65 plus shipping if I have to take it to the UPS store. I live 35 miles from the closest one.
