I am forced to question the wisdom of green lights on the front: Some poor sap in a Cooper Mini is going to glance up and see two big green lights above his windshield... thinking they're traffic lights.

Naw... its not gonna be that bright... but if someone is drunk enough to make that mistake... motorbug should have little trouble pancaking a cooper mini. And then i can afford more mods with the insurance check.
Which reminds me... i gotta start collecting metal to build a "bumper guard".
Diffferent and strange is what we strive for.
Compliment accepted.
If nothing else... motorbug is the only f350 dually i ever seen with the grill lookin like that... so i think its great for identification if someone ever steals my truck... and if you guys see it on the road... you automatically know whos truck it is.
Oh and i got my shiny new up pipes ordered over the phone this morning with clay and they should be in transit as i type. Should get them in early next week!
I painted mine years ago... but to match the truck...
I repaint it about every year... Needs it pretty bad right now, but I have not decided if I am going to be going 2005 front end or not, and my existing grill is begining to peal the chrome off.
Yah that looks pretty clean man..
I have a small scratch/wrinkle on the upper right side of the chrome on my grill but no signs of peeling so far.
I also have this problem on my hood on the passengers side edge... seems like the clear coat peeled off and then further wore down to the base coat or something. Im thinking of just slathering herculiner all over the hood...
If i catch a break and dont get called out tomorrow ill get a good pic in the daylight.

Xtof
Well I am happy for you on the up pipes I just hope you have been soaking them bolts with PB blaster if not start now.
And I am sorry I myself don't care for the green on the grill But as long as you like it that is all that matters. Here let me put it to you another way.....That green paint on the grill is going to make it easier for a cop to spot you a mile away. And I am not saying that you would be doing anything against the law. But I myself try to fly below the radar when it comes to cops. I'm just saying
Bad dog...
The old pipes are already off... took them off before i pulled the motor. No amount of soaking would have done any good. Broke all but 1 bolt removing them.
Dwayne.. yes i did and i will be putting them to good use.
Ironically enough... i hadnt been getting the big coupon and price catalog for a couple months... but it came in the same day as your letter! How crazy is that...
Im not at all worried about police. I dont do stoopid crap on the road... i save up as much of my stoopid as i can for the mud. Generally... when i get pulled over... the trooper and i just bs for a while and then go on our way.
My last ticket was better than 3 years ago...
And it was due to a mistake i made when i blew the toploader in my f150. I let a shop work on it in Clute, Tx. The guy left the clutch return spring unhooked, didnt hook up the speedo cable, and broke the reverse light switch so that it was stuck on. Then... the "new" black spray painted tranny set me back 1100$ and now its sitting on a pallet due to rounded syncros and a broken fork. Granted... i beat the hell out of it...but i expected a little better than the 3k miles i got out of it.
Yah the reverse lights being stuck on is what i got the ticket for.
