'94 F150 302 metal heater hose????
On my '94 F150 with 302 there is a "hose" that comes off the water pump with about 2 1/2" of rubber hose which is crimpped onto the metal portion which then bends around the alt. bracket and aimes towards the heater core has a smaller nipple coming off with a smaller rubber hose going to the throttle body, then it hooks up to the longer 5/8" hose going to the heater core.
Wow, all that said can anyone tell me what to do with the crimpped on 2 1/2" at the water pump when it starts leaking?? can I just somehow cut off the crimp and remove the bad hose then clamp on a new hose?? a new "Hose" from Ford is $32.00!!!! Thanks!!

'94 F150 302 metal heater hose????
Today I got brave and pulled off the hose/pipe in question (mind you I've got $32.00 to spend if need be) and carefully cut the aluminum crimp length wise with a hacksaw, then split it and low and behold removed the crimp and bad 2 1/2" of hose, then cut the same length of fresh 5/8" heater hose and put it all back together using clamps, problem solved, cost under $1.00 !!!!!

Yes, mine was leaking, a pesky pinhole in the back side of it, sprayed aganst the timing cover making it look as if the timing cover where it mates to the block near the coolant passage was leaking.
I don't know why Ford designed this hose/pipe like this (with the crimped on rubber part, I can't believe that it was cheaper and faster at assembly time, its the first 302 I've ever owned that had this type of setup.
