Well it was not the stop light switch. Truck went to limp mode again yesterday and twice today. The water in the fuel light and glow plug light comes on for like 5 seconds and then it will let the truck again go. I have tried everything out there. It has been doing this for some time now. I put a new stop light switch and all was well for over a week. Thought I had It fixed but still doing it. Now I think may be it's the throttle switch or something like that I need some more ideas or some c4! Thanks for any help.
Sorry, what is dtc? Yes gauges. Every thing is good on read outs. The truck is running strong on every thing else. It shows no codes. When it goes to limp mode, the truck keeps running, It just idles for a few seconds then the lights go off and then it's fine. I just don't know what else to try.
If it truly is in 'limp" mode, then there should be a stored code (and GP's and WIF sensors will not put it in limp mode).
It may not be what is called limp mode, but I don't know what else to call it. Like this morning, I started the truck, it ran fine, I drove it like 1/4 mile and the two light come on, it will not let you give it any gas( diesel), it will go back to ideal. For around 3 to 5 seconds. Then the lights turn off, and everything is fine. It has and will do this once more in just a few more seconds, but after that it never does it again, that day. It always does this when first starting out. Truck temp. And air temp does not matter. I just don't know. thanks for any help.
