Rebuilding the '41....again
Rebuilding the '41....again
Yesterday June 2 we began tearing my '41 apart for it's rebuild. We drove the truck onto my lift and pulled the front sheetmetal off, Yanked the radiator and pulled the flathead and C-4 out..... Quite a day, got more done than I had hoped.
I'll be keeping an eye on this rebuild!!! My grandpa is currently rebuilding his 41 that he first bought at the age of 13 and took my grandma on their first date in, carved his and her initials in the steering wheel
Here's a link you might enjoy then.

The trucks name is 'Rose'. This website chronicles the original build from all original to the first iteration of Flathead with the C-4, and now the new build with the Small Block Ford. Hope you enjoy.

I hated pulling the Flat head out too.....but it went to an excellent home. I sold it to a fellow who is a flathead fanatic and actuallt had a hand in the original build on this truck. It's destined for a 1940 Coupe he has so it will stay on the road. In front of that C-4 automatic. you really had to DRIVE this truck before..... low vacuum, low RPM etc etc.
I'm putting a 302 HO motor in it:

I removed the original cross member and am installing a Fatman Fabrictions cross member and hub to hub stage 3 with power rack and pinion etc:

Got the corner turned, now all I need do is fabricate the motor mounts and can re assemble.
