I am in the middle of a frame off restoration on a 1964 F100 Stylside short wheelbase.I admit that I have been a GM guy all my life but this truck has a good story, bought from original owner. My question is why does it seem to be so hard to find any schematics ,photos or much info on that year. Was 64 a odd year for this truck it just seems all the info and parts stop at 63 and begin at 65 it is a pretty easy restor because it was all straight forward the way it was built pretty simple I am just curious about that year 1964 . Info and photos are hard to come buy. Thanks David

The 64 was a bit odd. Mostly, it's like the 61-63 (same engines, leaf spring front suspension). It was the first year for the double wall box used in 65-66. The frame front is drilled like the 65 so the bumper interchanges with the 65-66.
The 1964/72 Ford Truck Parts Catalog is available on a CD from hipoparts.com for less than 22 bucks / Has 4,941 pages of text, 1,961 pages of pics, so you'll never lack for a picture.
LMC's repro parts catalogs are rife with errors and omissions, their VIN decode info is laughable. Most of the parts they sell are cheap made in China crap!
LMC is a middle-man operations, doesn't carry much of anything listed in their catalogs, uses the J. Paul Getty method of making a buck.
When you send in your order, they use YOUR money to buy the parts elsewhere, from other repro parts sellers, local FoMoCo Dealers and the local autoparts stores down the street.
If you want a good repro catalog that is EZ to use, has correct info: Call 800-476-9653 and order Carpenters 1957/66 catalog...it's free. Carpenter repro's more parts than all the other repro parts sellers combined.
