I am doing a restoration on my 66 f100 and i am using about four differant places for finding parts.
My question is that my dad sent me a catalog from *** out of k.s. and i have found alot of parts in there that i can use, but i was wondering why the comp. name is typed like this(***) and other companies i have seen in the forum are typed using name.
I am also using parts lookup on this site for any parts that i can use. But before ordering thru *** i was just wondering about any feedback that you all could give me.
Try Denis Carpenter they normaly have better prices, the onlly reason you would go to... "the other guy" is if Dennis did not have it, wich is rare but it can happen. We are not aloud to talk about "the other guy" and every time you do the words will be hidden. I don't agre with that but it is the rule and we have to abide by it.
Thank you for your reply. I now understand, and i will check out the site you suggested and see if i can get a catalog.
Love this site. It has been and will be a big help on my project.
Hope to also help other users if i can.
Don't overlook your local Ford Dealer for parts. A surprising amount of stuff is still available from them. A good relationship with the parts counter man is very helpful also. Some of the counter help will use the canned answer "nothing available for a truck that old", but a good parts pesron will do a little digging. When my son and I re-did his 66 a few years ago (mid to late 90's) the majority of the trim parts, lenses and gaskets came from Ford. Most of the rest of the soft parts came from Dennis Carpenter. Good luck.

YOu can type LMC now. lol
Ford dealers have some of it, and Dennis has a lot
There are a few other catalogs that stock items. If I find them again I'll post it
