Why are parts for the '66 F100 NOT as readily available as for the 61-65? When I browse parts catalogs they always seem to list '61-65 and 67-xx. Whats the deal here?
I agree with 1972RedNeck. '66 is almost identical to '65. Mechanically, there are more parts available for those 2 years than for a '61-'64 because the chassis is so similar to '67-'79.

What catalogs are you looking in?
What parts are different between 1965 and 1966 F100 2WD's? Grilles and seat upholstery...and that's about it.
Every catalog I've ever seen sets them up as '61-'64 and '65-66'. As ND says the grilles and upholstery are really the only differences. 65 was when they introduced the "World Changing" twin i-beam suspension. They have tons of options, regular cluster set up from '61-'64 or the "chrome" plastic sweep speedo; 240, 300 or 352cid engines first introduced to these trucks.
Plenty of differences these two years have between the older 4 years. What options are you looking for?
