The ex is missing, cops are envolved, and it's raining. The outcome;
When I stepped on the gas at low RPM's in overdrive the ex shuddered like a u-joint was going out. I discovered two spark plugs that were drenched in water and dirt near the back on the drivers side. I looked for the cause and found a gap in the rubber piece that runs across the cowl below the back of the hood. I bridged that gap and sealed it off, then I changed the plugs and cop boots. When replacing the boots I used some hi-temp brake grease generously applied around the top of the boots to seal them off. You can use non-hardening sealer but the grease will allow them to come out easily in the future and it's not so messy. If the grease eventually softens and swells the boots it's no problem and I will probably replace the much overlooked boots again by that time anyway.
Mine? You remember those? That is just a joke, actually they are just some $10 generic flaps I stuck on the front that everyone hates because they stick out too far.....but they keep my running boards clean.
I showed up via a search for something by dosecobanya.
I just had to see what the thread title had behind it.
