The engine will idle good, but any blip of the throttle will cause the motor to momentarily fall on its face and then come to life. But once it reaches operation temperature, it will not idle at all. Any touching of the throttle will cause the motor to die
Last night my 88 f150 4X4 with a 4.9 I6 was throwing a 67, 84, 22, and 33
I replaced my MAP sensor and blocked my EGR with a Lone Star can patch and now its throwing a 67, 84, and 31
31 could be from the block EGR. try putting a 1/8" hole to start and go bigger from there. Washers (forget the size) with various holes work awsome. the fit right inside the egr gasket. Did u check the EVP sensor?
67 park-neutral circuit failed not engine related
84 another EGR code. dealing with the solenoids.
suggestion. test the EVP (egr valve position, white sensor on the back of the EGR).
Ok. I can't drive the truck due to fear of leaving the driveway. Once the theromastat opens and the truck dies. Will the trcuk throw the same codes without driving it?
