I have boxes of carburetors, Autolite 4100's and Qj's laying around on shelves, spare drive shafts, electric fans, spare roller rockers, an entire short block occupying space with new fricking pistins, molly rings, less than 10k on the engine, just hanging on my engine stand, and boxes and boxes of other parts just filling my garage.
Let me know what you have, and if it is a problem with the wife.
LOL, I got parts for several different vehicles stashed in the bedrooms, closets, and even some in the living room. The rest is stored in a 10 x 20 storage unit.
No wife, much less complicated that way....... No garage either, which kinda sucks.
I told my wife before we got married that I was into cars and trucks and was not going to give it up. I told her that if it ever came down to a choice between her and the cars/trucks she would have to go. 29 years later, she's still here and so are my cars and trucks.
Still have VW parts laying around and haven't touched one of those in 6 years. I've sold, given away, and scrapped a pile of stuff trying to at least keep room to work in a 28x32ft garage, plus a carport. Everytime I get rid of something, I wind up needing it.

That reminds me of the definition of junk: Stuff you keep for years and throw away a week before you need it.
I have enough space to walk and that's about it. Extra axles. A few 1bbl intakes. Some fenders I need to get painted and install. A few cams, an extra engine. Etc...
It's a one car garage so there isn't a whole lot of space to begin with.
My wife's not a fan, but she understands it's due to lack of space. Plus, it never comes inside.
I share your pain, my single car garage has my '48 that I'm STILL building. To keep it clear so I can move I've stashed all my extras at my upholstery shop. Hidden there are 1 300, 1 240, 1 305, a C6, T5, 700R4, 2 rearends, hood fenders and anything else I can conceal so my customers don't think they are walking into a scrap yard. I think I need a garage sale! But if i sell it I'll need it 2 weeks later!

When I was married I had 26 x 30 garage, 2 full bays, one for the ex to park in the the other for wrenching. It had 2 x 6 trusses above which was all storage. When I got divorced I went to a 23 x 26 garage with my house basement access and fire place protrusion in it, the basement is now storage. I have since added a 15 x 16 shop for all of the tool stuff. The garage is 1 full stall for wrenching and the 3/4 stall holds my FFR kit. Once I pick up my Smithy 3 in 1 combo day after Turkey day the shop will be full. The whole show is heated, lighted and wired with 220. I even have a 25 foot 30 amp umbilical cord for my portable welding cart.
OH!, and stuff. I have stuff on stuff. stuff stuffed in stuff and stuff leaning on stuff... There is never enough room! I have stuff I have lugged around for 30 years through 3 or 4 moves.
