1997 FORD F150 4X4

Can I take a 1992 Ford F-150 with 5.0 litre and put it in my 1997 F-150 4x4? hook up to trans? And all the wiring?

Don't think so.
The bell housing pattern is quite different.
The trans is PCM controlled so nothing hooks up as you would like it to.
The 92 is an EEC system and does not have the capability of a PCM system.
To many differences to over come from a backyard engineering stand point.
Good luck.

Yeah, I agree that it would be quite an undertaking. You'd end up with a carb up top to get it to run.
