NEED S-CODE: 3.55 posi axle with drums

Just as stated. If you have one on your truck could you please....PLEASE sneak a peek under your truck and write down the numbers on the tags on your axle. Easy to do, just two tags retained by the diff cover bolts.

I need this to get a new one at a local salvage yard. None of the yards will look for one without having the S-code nor will they let anyone go back to look for parts. Please help!

Just look at the door code. H9 is what you want

Is that the S-code?

My axle is a 3.55 regular, I want to go with the posi and that I do not have a door code or s-code for.

I just know they need the numbers off whichever tag has it on the differential.

Just checked it today and H is not a valid code for an axle lookup. The prefix is S hence S code and I tried S-9 but that doesn't seem to be it. Could you sneak a peak on yours?

It's not my parts man, it's the salvage yards. Everything is cataloged. Axles are on racks.

If they're on the truck then the H-9 code will work, otherwise I need the axle S-code or they can't locate the axle.

Anyone got it, I went to three yards already and they can't find it.

how do they manage to sell anything if they require a code, but they dont know the code.

A easy way to check them if they are on a rack is to just turn one side. If the other side turns the same way, you have a posi. If the other side spins the opposite direction, move on. They can do that and you can verify when they bring it up.
