Will my truck pass inspection with CEL on??

I know this latest flash is suppose to fix shifting and CEL problems, but from what I've read some CELs have come back on. Will a Ford Dealership do a state inspection with the light on?

In Vermont.. I don't know.. In texas yes, and diesels don't get emissions tests except in a couple counties.

Depends on the state. Here are the words from my state's DMV website "Diesel fueled vehicles model year 1997 and newer must pass an OBD-II test." I am assuming that means no codes.

If you're getting it inspected at the dealer, I would assume they would fix it first since it is under warranty. If they aren't/won't, I'd find a new dealer.
