TSB 11-04-21 6.7L Calibration Update. Note that this is specific to the 6.7L Diesel Only. A 6.2L Gas calibration update will hopefully be available late next week based on what I've been advised today.
For the 6.7L, there are quite a few calibration enhancements that should address a number of the performance characteristics that you may or maynot have observed. Also note that there are varying levels of changes depending on build date. Meaning, some of these enhancements have been incrementally added depending on your build date.
Enhancements include MIL lights coming on that were a little too sensitive due to calibration under certain conditions, Snow Plow use causing air flow distruption, Trans Shift Improvements, etc.
Thanks for the update, looking forward to getting mine done. I was noticing today how long the delay is off the line. Especially compared to my old 6.0 (when it was working correctly that is).
I took my truck in to get this done today and they are telling me that is has to have a code to get it done.
I call bull****e. Tell them the truck shifts hard from 2nd to 3rd and that you spoke to Ford and they said there was a TSB released to address it. Give them the TSB number and they should do it, no questions asked. If they do, get a new dealer. Then call Ford Customer Care and let them know how the dealer treated you. Thats the only way to get things fixed.
Ya that's what I'm going to do I only gave this dealer a chance cause they were closer to my house I guess I'll have to make a little longer drive for better service

I wouldn't take it to another dealer... Take it back... Tell them it's shifting like crap, and you want the TSB applied. PERIOD.... You paid 55K+ for that truck and they're treating you like you bought a Pinto.....
Paul.... This is the kind of crap we deal with with your Ford Service Departments.... You guys need to fix this....
When I called my Ford service dept. yesterday he could see the TSB but said he couldn't pull it up... And told me to call back in a WEEK!!!!!!
I called the dealership closest to my route from home to work and back, and told them I wanted it. Spoke to a nice rep, and she took all the info. She looked at my VIN (pulling an OASIS, I would assume?) and I told her I wanted to make sure they had it downloaded before I got there (been there, done that before) and she said no problem, we will see you on Friday.
About 15 minutes later, the Service Manager calls me back and starts giving me a hard time about it. Wanted to know why I wanted it. I lied and said I was getting codes and said it was shifting rough. I don't have a code, but it is hunting for gears a lot. He said they had to "check it out first" and then "follow the proper channels" before he could apply it.
I call total BS on this. I am a network engineer, and when Cisco releases a new ASA update... trust me, you want it. Even if you are not experiencing an issue they specify, you want it. It might affect you later in a way you are not aware of today. This was the whole reason electronics were made field update capable.
I am not asking for a new transmission because I heard of shifting issues, I am asking for an update that will enhance my investment with a minimal investment from all involved.
I must have called a good dealership. I called and told them I wanted it and they said to bring the truck on down and they'll apply the update. Going in Tuesday morning.
