So sould I scrap it?
78 ford f700. used to be a propane delivery truck. it has a 361 V8 that currently runs off of propane but, can easily be converted to gasoline by installing a carb.. It has a Clark 5spd trans with an Eaton 2spd rear end. It runs and drives good. It had new brakes, kingpins, bushings in 2000. The windshield is cracked and it needs rear tires..It is not eat up with rust surface rust only..It only has 1 small dent in the hood and a dent behind the drivers door..Its not beat up. I just don't need it.. Should I junk it?

Heck no, Sell it or part it out to somebody that needs good parts. Heck I hate people that scrap these old trucks. They will have minor surface rust on their truck and just junk it while me and alot of other rust belt people would kill to just have minor surface rust on our parts instead of our giant rust holes. Heck that truck really doesn`t look bad at all, heck if it was in PA that would be prime sheatmetal.

I say be patient and sell it to someone who wants it (for cheap).
Or part it out and let its parts live on in other rigs to KEEP OUR AMERICAN MADE STEEL ON THE ROAD. Some FTE'ers would give their (insert body part here) for those fenders. There are also FTE'ers looking for useable cabs, those mirrors, grill shell, and hood.
I think the propane system is worth some bucks. In fact, I was toying with the idea of converting to a dual fuel system (propane & gasoline). Propane is relatively inexpensive and some serious rockcrawlers go propane for the simple reason that the rig can be unaffected by extreme angles.

Its a fairly nice truck for its age. Here in north Ga these trucks are hard to get rid of. The F700s are not that common, mostly F600 and the ones that are around have been farm trucks for 30yrs. Most of them look like a crushed soda can.. I am the 3rd owner of the truck. I bought it from a friend and he had the title but in Ga when you send in the title to be transferred on a vehicle manufactured before 1985 they do not issue a new title they simply just shred it... I paid $2500 for it to save it from the scrapper but I seem to be stuck with it.. I would be happy getting $2000 for it..

If they shred the title upon arrival then what happens? Seems illegal to me, possibly a misunderstanding on how the system to works. Bseides the fact there are still tons of older vehicles on the road with many switching hands every day.
But, anyways, that truck would probably bring $2000-3000 here in Colorado. Everyone from landscapers to roofers are buying up those old trucks like crazy.

Here in Ga it only requires a Bill of Sale for ownership transfer on any vehicle pre 1985. They started sometime a few years ago not re-issuing a title on vehicles not requiring it for an ownership transfer. I was told this was started to cut down on the paperwork coming through the registration office.

I think it would absolutely help it sell. (As cool as it is) there is a limited market for a vehicle that a person has to do even a little work to, because they need to understand it, but a big huge old truck like that that just says "Truck, ready to go!" will grab aany value conscious buyer.
Also no way on scrapping it, that wouldn't even be good financially I wouldn't think? I'm sure you could drop that thing in a weekend for 800-1000$, wouldn't get that in scrap.

I bet that grille is worth a pretty penny, not to mention extremely hard to find. I'd leave it propane powered too...that engine will last forever, because no hydrocarbons from gasoline contaminate the oil. You could probably eat off the inside of that engine.
Tater if you buy it, I'll go with you to go get it.
