I have my Expedition in the shop to replace the motor to the brake pedal adjuster. They say they have to replace the whole unit. The problem is it only moves 1/4 in. forward or back. Anyone have problems with this? Can I just replace the motor?
Total is $355, $75 includes labor. My extended warranty covers all but $92.
That's worth it just to have all of the equipment operational.
I have the adjustable pedals and, so far as I am concerned, they are just one more unneeded option to cause problems. I mine broke I would just adjust the seat to accomodate my needs.

My 2005 EXP has the same problem, 1/4 inch or so front and back.. Right now, its not worth it to me to pay the tab to fix it.. Power seats work fine so far. Maybe if I can find a cheap enough replacement part, I will fix it. But at 104K its a minor prob.. But, I think I would pay $92 to do it.
Well I went to pick up my Expedition today and the total bill was $376.63. My out of pocket cost was $27.16!(route 66 extended warranty). They replaced the brake pedal assembly Part #2L1Z-2455-BB. Pedal Asy - Brake
