Theft light never comes on in my 98 Expedition

Theft light never comes on in my 98 Expedition
Hi everyone. Just want to say thanks for all the help and ask a question. Is there any reason why my theft light doesn't blink when the truck is off??? It also doesn't light when I start the truck. Thanks ahead of time
