Arrow Dome light door switch and preset mirror adjustments

On a 2003 Expedition Eddie Bauer, where are the door switches? I keep getting a door ajar when all the doors and hatch and rear window is closed and latched. I'm thinking it's one of the passenger side doors but unsure.

Also on the same Expedition each key fob for keyless entry is set for a different driver. So when I take one and the mirrors go to the other preset setting for that key fob they go haywire and start popping. One will be up and out all the way and the other will be down all the way. Same goes for when it's put into reverse they might go down and not return back to their preset position or they will go where ever and not return to their preset position.

For the door ajar / dome light issue you need to douse the latches around the catches with WD40 and then exercise the doors a bit. Also do the rear liftglass and hatch. I think your mirror thing is two fold. The back up mirror issue is a common issue and is not easily fixed. Most just disable that feature. Ford only offered it one year. The adjustment to the fobs sounds like the mirrors are not "centered" in their range of motion and the mechanism runs into its stops before getting to the set point. I would try manually moving the mirrors to the extremes and if you hit the popping point gently move the glass by hand in the opposite direction to free up some travel room.

I will try the wd40 trick. I understand what you are saying about the mirrors not being centered but no matter which key fob you use they always go up and out and down on the other one. I just ran home on lunch and unlocked the doors and the mirrors did their usual pop. I locked the doors and used the key fob to unlock the doors again and they once again went up and out and the other down and started popping cause they were out of travel.

They are on the door latch. Some times they are a pain. There are different switches but simular. Take yours out and match it up to the new one.

Finding out what door is the problem. Factory scan tool would indentify it.

I'd give it one more shot, literally. It has had a day or two to settle in. 99% of the people who have had trouble with it have been successful with this fix. Another dousing and some more slamming.

I have had the switches out in my hand and had no luck lubing them. If you cycle the door and get it to act up you will be blessed, I wouldn't want to do them all.

I did try it one more time with the WD40. I started with the drivers door working back to the hatch checking and waiting 30 seconds for the dome light to go off after each door opening and closing. Finally when I got to the rear passenger door after doing every single door lube, open and close about 30 times, and waiting for the dome light to go off I found the one. The rear passenger, the light finally went off and it no longer says door a jar on the dash.

Thanks guys.

What are some ways to diagnose or points to look at for the mirrors? Disabled the reverse mirrior adjustment. Last few times the passenger mirror goes to the right location for whichever preset. The drivers side goes all over the place popping from being and its adjustment limits.
