Staining my Bed

Hey guys I have a question for you all. I want to stain my the wood in my bed. It is now red which is how i got the truck. It seems everytime I wash my truck a little of the red chips off. I really love the look of stained wood beds and I was wondering what would be the easiest way to stain my bed? Thanks

If your wood is in good shape, I would strip the paint off w a chemical stripper. But i would pull the wood to do this. After the paint has been removed, stain then polyurathane it. Just remember. The 83-87 beds had plywood floors and not "real wood"

If the wood is no good or you dont want to go thru the trouble of staining it, you can buy pre cut, dilled and stained wood for your truck.

Dont have to take it apart but taking it off is necessary. Then the wood floor can come out

Staining my Bed

Ya know, if this weren't a truck forum (which thereby defines the context)
that title could have a few different meanings to it.
