What do you gain by putting this kit in, besides the obvious, (more fuel pressure)?

You just answered your own question. The factory spring can be borderline and this upgrade gives your injectors some breathing room. App. 10 to 15lbs. worth.

If you are patient, order it from edpartsguy.com

The cheapest I found unless you have a hookup at the FORD stealership

Ed, if the dealership didnt have the part on hand I would order it from you. I have a great hook up at the dealership and he gives me great prices. I will be installing it this weekend.

The black piece goes in depending on the year. On my late build '04, the black piece was in there. On the '05 upper fuel bowl/oil filter housing that I bought to replace mine when I broke it, the hole was already machined for the poppet valve.

Is the installation of this kit difficult? Where is it and how long of a job is it? This is the first I have caught discussion on this upgrade.

Doesnt take long 30 min max. The hardest part is getting to the lower bolts due to coolant hose in front. Simple task.

I have a cracked fuel filter bowl. I overtightened my fuel pressure guage sender.
I have a new housing and spring kit on hand, how hard was it to replace the housing? Anything to watch for? Going to replace it this weekend.

What does this kit do? How hard to install? I have a tuner and I am not getting enough fuel to it.

You can read my experience here.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...stupidity.html

I found a good write up on how to do it posted by m-chan on the Diesel Stop forums.

6.0L Secondary Fuel/Oil Filter Housing 4C3Z-9C166-AA - Diesel Forum - TheDieselStop.com

You will need to disconnect as many of the plugs on the upper engine as possible. Both plugs to the fan and the plugs to the ECT, EOT and oil pressure switch, etc. Then you have to very carefully lift the wiring harness up over the oil stand pipe, because it goes between the oil filter housing and the fuel filter housing. Be very careful. The stand pipe will break easily, so I'm told.

Partsguy. I like to use Paypal instead of my CC. Can I use PayPal instead for my order?
