EGR cooler question

That my friend is redneck.LOL What about the coolant flow into the intake manifold Tim, how did you stop that just a pressure fit plug?

We drove a u-joint cap into the manifold end and then put a blind gasket between the cooler and the manifold. The y-pipe end of the cooler is capped from the up-pipe flange that has been welded closed.

When I get back I'll retype my mess--LOL

One other thing to keep in mind. Even if you delete the egr cooler, if you don't keep the cooling system healthy you will still have oil cooler problems which is the root cause of the egr cooler failures. You are deleting the messenger not the cause.

I just ordered by DieselSite Coolant Filter for my new-to-me '05 Ex PSD.
