Remote start question
I was wondering if I remote start my truck, can I drive it without having to put the key in it or will it shut off. Thanks in advance for the help

the steering wheel is locked, so can't go in gear until the key goes in.

AS soon as you move the shift lever the engine shuts down unless the key is turned to the on position

My wife's Volvo XC60 does not need a key in it. The key just needs to be on her person. I still cannot get use to it. You just open the door and push a button to start it and stop it. It's crazy!

could u clarify.. you can't shift the shift lever. its locked..

by 'move' do you mean, touch & wiggle? ATTEMPT to move?

In fact, as soon as you put your foot on the brake it will shut down.

I do this at times...usually first thing in the morning, step on brake to shift and it dies...put key in...well you get the picture
