Odemeter 1999 shot out
i purchased a 1998-99 ford ford f150 4.2L v6. been doin some work on it as i use it to deliver pizza's for extra cash. problem is my odometer went out and i need it to record my mileage. the speed odometer works fine. but the trip/odometer don't work at all. i went to mech shop they told me i need a whole new instrument panel.. guy didn't even look at the truck... the gauges are mech. not digital. Can anyone help me out w this issue.
the truck has over 184k milles...l i picked it up for 600 buxs and got a total of 2700 invested into it. can anyone help me keep my job ???

All I know is I would love to know the answer to this too. Mine(2000 4x2) has a short in it somewhere. it will go out for about a week then come back on. It still counts up the miles though. all the wire connections are good.
