ecm,pcm tranny problems

hey guys its been a while i searched threw some posts and didnt quite find what i was looking for. any how my 97 psd now has 347k on her now and i recently overheated the trans while pulling two kicker bale wagons. yes i know it was dumb but either way she over heated and it was sliping in all the gears and shifting second real late and hard it also would get about two hundred degrees in the matter of minutes and whould not cool down.so at anyrate i had this retired ford guy who builds trannys at his shop go threw mine. he mostly does e40d,s so hes pretty good at them.i got a new convertor all new clutchpacs, a rear main seal and a bunch of other stuff.he warentys his work .trouble is now that the tranny is done it shifts hard in all the gears, real hard like im even looking for my driveshaft behind me after shifts.he claims i need a ecm.first is there an ecm or a pcm or both?and where can i track one down? he claims that my truck is throwing a map sensor code and berometric pressure sensor code and that the sensors arnt bad but that he cant inneract with the computer to play with the voltage on the sol. pacs. i know this is confusing but now my old girl is down for a week or two and i need to haul cows and hay and firewood. thanks guys.please help. btw i have a t and s turn dial chip could this be the problem i havnt played with it yet.
