I just tried the heat in my 2000 Expy, and the front blows hot, but not like I think it should, and the back blows ice cold. It has the front and rear heat and a/c system. Everything else seems to work fine.
Has anyone had any expierience with this prob? Since my 4 kids will be riding back there, one of them being a newborn, I need to figure this thing out ASAP.
As usall, any and all help would be greatly appriciated!
It could just be that the blend door isn't moving over to the hot side when you turn the temperature dial. I'd first check for that operation before getting into anything else.
Is the front and back two seperate systems? I know there is a seperate a/c system for the rear, but is it a full system with its own core and blend doors, etc... A/C stuff is all above back passenger side wheel well, is the rest of the rear system in there too??
Yes they are. separate heater cores, separate blend doors, and separate controls. About the only thing they share is the coolant circulating from the engine.
