coolant question/mistake

hello i have 2003 7.3l f250, i finally got around to changing the serpentine belt the otherday and the way it is wraped around the top raditor hose was my problem started. i loosed the clamp and moved up and twisted the hose litttle to loosen it i disconnected the belt as usual. well the little bit of antifreeze that leaked out while changing like 2-3 quarts is my problem. i had gold coolant in there as required and i only had the prestone green concentrate that says you can mix with any brand/ color i only topped off 2-3 quarts at most cus daily driver and had to use. question is to i have to flush raditor and change out all coolant and fill with just gold and distilled water or will it be fine to let it go?

You are probably ok to keep running it with that small amount. The coolant system is pretty large and that will dilute it pretty well. You could have just added water in that amount and been ok too. Your best bet is to buy a gallon of the gold and a gallon of distilled water. Then you will have two gallons of the proper stuff.

I second the opinion that you are probably just fine. And also agree that you would have been just fine to add distilled water in such a small amount. Just don't let your significant other know what you did and things will be just great.

I once added windshield washer fluid to the radiator overflow bottle on my wife's VW Jetta TDI (both caps were blue and within a foot of each other). She insisted that we have the dealer flush the system. I think it would have been fine but of course she won out.
