I am trying to find out how to have the Raptor 2012 programmed. Dealer in Utah says they don't know how to do it. They hook up a machine or something and when they key in Raptor it gives a cannot be done.
rorr1821, can you give us a page number in the manual or better yet scan it so we can call the dealer out on this one. I will even pay the shop time to have it.
Can this be done on an XLT as well? I spend a lot of time on 2 lane roads and would like to have DRLs with out having to cover the sensor that turns on the lights when it gets dark. I don't mind doing it, but it dims the displays making it hard to see them in the daylight.
I just purchased a 2001 F350 and arrived home to Canada. Went to get it inspected and I need day time running lights to get it to pass. I read on the site about them and picked up the resister and relay from a wreaked F350. I located to resister location and plugged it in no problem. I can not find where to plug in the relay. I have checked everywhere behind the glove box, under dash and can not find the plug. I read on this site all Ford trucks come with the plug.
Please I need help locating this plug ?? Do all F350 come from the factory with the plug for the relay ??? I have looked everywhere.

I tried that with my 01 F-250 and couldn't find the plug behind the glovebox either, ended up having the dealer install the add-on kit they sold at the time. It worked fine after that.
I talked to the service writer yesterday while having my oil changed, and it would cost me an hour's shop time ($149) to have the DRLs turned on. So I'm going to try a different dealer when I get the chance.
For the time being, I'll keep covering the eye on the dash to get the lights to turn on.
That's robbery. I watched the dealer do my 2011 F150 and it took longer to pull it into the shop than it did to program the computer. I could see a 15 minute charge $30 max.
Dealers like it when they think they have you by the *****! Most dealership sales people are pretty shifty at the best of times...at least from my limited experience.
