Ebay sellers have OEM fog lights and some even have the electrical harness. Do I need the upfitter switches or are they normally powered through the headlights switch? My XL has only OFF-PARK-HEADLIGHTS positions on the switch.
You dont even list what you drive. How are people supposed to know what switch you have. Like my 2000 F250 has OFF PARKING HEADLIGHT and on headlight if you pull it out it has FOG. Well on my year FOG is a dummy switch. Its there but dosent provide power to ANY terminals in the back. So when i bought mine I wired them to come on with the headlights using a simple blue clip that crimps 2 wires together. Do a search on here you will find out all kinds of ways to doing it if you dont wanna run a stupid toggle switch. BTW: hook it up to a relay and you will optimize your power output to them. Its very nice.

I didn't edit the signature and the vehicle info doesn't show on the thread; 2008 F250 XL.
I'm not much into compromising the wiring and am looking for a near-OEM setup.
The parts for my 2011 were ruffly $200. This was the lights, harness, and new switch. The only thing you have to come up with are the stamped metal nuts that keep the bezels from rattling. I asked the Ford guys at Farm Progress and they are supposed to be finding a source for them, as the bumper with fog lights comes as an assembly from the supplier. It was not quite an hour to do both sides and the switch.
