Rick, your truck will thank you by starting up reliably for several years to come.
I think changing the batts 1 time in 10 years is working out very well for me and my truck. She will have a good spark this evening.

I got Motorcraft "BXT 65 850" BATTS. They are 850 cc @ 0* and 1000 c @ 32*. They were 119.95 each. My son said I was crazy getting them at Ford instead of a parts house. I made him call one of them and they were 124.00 there. Go figure.
OH, and they gave me 4 new square head bolts for free.

Not to pick on you Rick but if your truck has "good spark" this evening you may have bigger issues than needing new batteries...
My truck was starting to act like batteries were getting weak. I had cleaned terminals and not really a difference. Since the batteries have to be isolated to test, I haven't had time to get them checked at the Interstate Battery place. I have 2 interstate 850 ca batteries.
I had my wife carry the truck by interstate. She just called. Of course the batteries are getting used up. They are both 75 month batteries and 52 months old.
I figured to get 30 or 40 dollars credit. They were going to give me $6 dollars credit. I almost 2 years left on the expected life of the batteries and they offer $6 credit.
I guess when they say PRO-rated, they are talking about the type of Pro that does it to you for money.
I told them "thanks, but you aren't very proud of your product, so why should I be?"
I went in to Advance Auto today and tested my batt's and alternator. The passenger side battery is bad and the other is okay. The alternator is putting out over 14 volts. I guess the alternator is fine. I've got a lot of things in the works right now and want to do some more stuff right away, so I'll postpone the batt. purchase for a couple of months. I hope they continue to work for the time being.

It's best to change both batteries at the same time. I didn't even test my batts, I seem to need to change them every 5 years.
Please follow everyone's advice and BUY TWO NEW BATTERIES
I had Sears screw me and "test" them and replaced one Free under warranty. They wouldn't replace other battery saying it was "good" I had so many battery issues because the one New battery was getting weakened by the older"good" battery
I have since replaced both batteries at my own expense and from Walmart HD yellow batteries.
I don't have a Costco anywhere near me, so I'll probably get a price quote from my local ford parts guy. If they are near the price of Ricks post, I'll prolly go that route when I do.
