Scrap #1 copper is worth $3.70 to $3.90 a lb here. Yrs ago I sold a bunch of copper rads for $15 each, wonder what they are worth now.

Several yrs ago, I saw several adds for scrap guys looking to buy old copper, wiring, motors,.. I don’t see it much anymore.

I may talk with some of the guys I know in Dryden that go to the border box and see if they could pick one up for me. I still have a lot of things I need yet so not in to great of a hurry..

There was for awhile that there was a lot of copper thieving going on. Ontario hydro here had some reels of copper stolen here and don't think whoever stole it was caught..

It was likely an inside job and used their loader...

That makes sense.. still, what the heck do you do with a copper reel? New copper reel?..

Apparently it was all new copper line. I would have loved to get the copper ground wire they took out of the mine shaft when I was working there, 2 1/2" in diameter. It was all cut up in 3 foot lengths..

They were rather heavy but there was also a metal wire protective covering encasing the copper..
