Doesn’t bother me, none of the paint / coating is peeling. It’ll outlast me as far as I’m concerned.

John must be taking a break for a bit. Hopefully he’s getting lots done on the 56 merc. Not many participants in Canada it seems…

Did you get your 53 carb sorted out?

Is your tin roof galvanized as well as painted Jeff?
Hope John is ok, I should email him to see what's up.
The guy got my 53 carb sorted out, other than a few low cylinders it runs great now. Haven't plated it yet as we've been getting but will later this wk.

I don’t know. It’s all faded red, but I see no rust anywhere. Most of it was put up in the mid 80’s when the house was built. The back half of part was replaced in 2016, tree fell on it.

Emailing probably wouldn’t hurt. My bet is he’s taking a break..

If you don't see any rust it'll likely galvanized Jeff.

Howdy All. I’ll assume it is too Morris. It must be, I hope so anyway, I don’t want to have to deal with it. We replaced a lot screws on a shop roof years ago, and my dad had it sprayed with a silver coating. It’s still holding up. Not what it was sprayed with.

I agree, if it were me, I’d pull the box. Being a California truck should come off easy.

Sorry to hear John, sounds painful. Hope it goes away soon.

I’ve been thinking about a break from the internet myself for a bit. Present company excluded, all I read is bad news..

Howdy All, Im having some issues with this new ethanol gas. Anyone else having issues? Nothing of mine is running right anymore. Apparently as of this year, all gas has ethanol in it. And increasing every year up to 15% by 2030.

Edit. Removing ethanol also reduces the octane…. I suppose I’m off to buy some premixed gas for the saws this morning. Not sure what to with the rest of the equipment..

I thought that reg gas already has 15% ethanol in it, premium gas has none or less than that?

When I go up to the Lake again, I will drop the Spare tire and test it.
I checked the Fuse, is good. Rained and hope dry of June will help.
It has run in Salt + 12 winters. That module is probably toast. I have
an A Frame Beam and Chain hoist in the garage there, if I need to lift
the box. Problem is the truck is out in the Drive. Problems
Started right after a Hurricane HP car wash. I see the kit adds rubber
spacers to move the modules aluminum base off the steel frame.

Federal mandate. You can no longer buy ethanol free gas in Canada as of 2024. There are exceptions for aviation, and off road use. And the content increases annually to 15%. Who knows from there.

Edit.. You can thank Ottawa for that.
