    No, not in my opinion.

You only need to clay bar when you have contaminents like overspray and bird poop. You can do this yourself very easily with a kit from the auto parts store as needed. The truck is quiet enough, no sound barrier needed. Use Rain-X windshield washer fluid and you get great water beading year round. I use the orange Rain-X stuff.

yes it is, if you live in New Eng your trucks will start rusting out in 3 years. Unless you dont plow and stay off the fresh salted roads then getting it done might not be necessary.

Every truck I own has had everything you listed above done when new.

      • Rust Proofing - Fogging doors.
      • Scotch Guard all interior
      • Clay bar entire truck then seal paint with Diamond Gloss
      • Glass treatment - Auquapell Rain Repellent
    What do you guys think?
The undercoating is a good idea but the Scotch Guard, clary bar and glass treatments are only as good as the kid doing the application. I'd rather do those myself. Have no idea what door fogging is.

Local price on undercoat is $199.

Well I like the rust protection idea since I'm going to spend a good deal of time on salty roads. I also like the paint treattment on my Tundra. I haven't had to wax it in 2 years and the water still beads up on it. I'm just interested in doing anything and everything I can do within reason to keep the paint in good shape since I got black. Still not sure about that decision. Lol

nope, unless you live in the rust belt..

otherwise most of it is a moneygrab..

todays new vehicles come with protection to both interior and exterior materials that are more then up to the task...

but as stated above if you live in the areas of the country that are prone to causing rust, then i would look into extra rust protection being sprayed on while its new...

I've been using Rus-Fre system on my own since 1985. You can get the stuff for around $150 complete with gun and do it yourself.
Yes it's worth it if you live in salt areas. But you have to touch it up every 2 years. Touch up the underside that is. Gravel, etc. takes it toll on the coating. With out a coating the gravel also chips underside paint. Rust tends to start around seams, brackets. Rus Fre will stop it if you keep it up.

Messy job but well worth the savings if your handy. I got mine here waiting for the new truck to come this month.

One of the problems with any type of spray on material is that it can trap moisture already present, plug weep holes designed to release moisture and some are even hygroscopic or can turn hygroscopic over time. Fogging the doors means they spray a fog of sealant into the door through an existing hole hoping to get it into the areas where they want it. Again...it can trap moisture already present, hold moisture and plug hole designed to allow moisture to run off.

Most commercially applied products require an annual inspection and touchup. Many charge you for this. Also, read the warranty contract they offer. It used to be that they'll only cover a hole in a panel that started from the inside out and then only if you met all the requirements of the contract (inspections, etc) They have the right to refuse coverage based on the ambiguity of the contract and they do refuse coverage or they'll defer to the manufacturer's corrosion warranty. Smoke and mirrors.

Personally, I think this stuff is worthless. I guess if you live in the NE, drive a lot in the winter and park the truck where there is no moisture barrier underneath it then you may get some peace of mind with a treatment like this.

Rus Fre has the rubber body plugs ultilizing a 1/2 hole you drill to access areas you want. Also the undercoating doesn't go on heavy so it won't clog holes it usually drips for a while before it hardens. I live on a dirt road so it protects against gravel chipping at the under side protective coatings.
I doubt very much it will make the truck rust faster then stock. I believe the opposite having done my trucks in NE since 1985. My 85 was like new after 8 years of owning it.
Also if you ever had body panel work done Rus Fre will get those areas were they welded and didn't apply a rust stop.
Lot's of guys here at Ford Trucks are handy and I wanted to make sure you know about Rus Fre. As good as Zbart and a heck of a lot cheaper.

I guess it depends on where you live, but $ 1g is NOT worth it...IMHO.
