FRONTEND, LOWER CONTROL ARMS
I took my 08 ESCAPE w/30000 miles to a corner garage for oil change and the mechanic told me the "lower control arm bushings are delaminated." It would have cost several hundred dollars to fix.
He says they are a poor design, FORD knows it and will change them for free under warranty. So I go to the dealer and sure enough, they changed them for free!
Anyone else had this issue? If not, take a look & maybe get a new set!
So what makes a bushing delaminate anyway???
