medicbran, I read you there! I think that Richards in Sulphur has good vittles, too. Of course, if you wanted to spend a bit, LaFittes (sp?) is great. Then there's that big place out past Jennings, gosh I can't remember the name, but it was always a fun time.
Those are all 1-2 hours away from me in SE TX. We have a crawfish boil at or church this weekend. I'll be interesting to see if "they" know how over here. Plug follows.. link to church below:
Hey medicbran, I work with a guy from there. Terry LeBleu. You know him? All those places you named are good. Also , Big Daddy`s in Iowa. I like that. Where you work?? M1tommy, let us know how that boil went!!
wille3r, We just got home. It was great, about 2-400 folks. I'm terrible at estimating crowds. I have no idea how much crawfish I inhaled. I just sat close to a big pan that kept getting refilled. The 'taters and corn were great too. It'd been almost two years since I had any boiled crawfish.... good vittles! All need a nap now!

Very small world. I don't mind chatting sometime or whatever. Send me a message on here or something. I use Yahoo Messenger mostly. I'll catch you later.
I'm not really a Texun, but I have been here for a couple years. This is my third summer. I been out there sweatin like crazy trying to build a shed for more Ford junk. I just got back from a big road trip gathering up all my stuff from my last place. I also brought home a 23 t-bucket with a 61 buick motor, which is the only thing not Ford in my yard. I live in Van. near Canton and Tyler. People sure are polite and friendly here but after 2 years we have 0 friends. I've lived alot of places and never had that happen before. I wonder if it's because I'm a Yank or just because everyone in this small town are related and a bit clannish. The Mexicans are real nice and always invite me to their big partys, but the language barrier makes it a bit awkward. I wish some white folks were that friendly here. I sure do miss Alaska sometimes.
