Eastern Texas
Well, I'm not sure if'n SE of Houston qualifies as "east Texas"... heck I don't even own a Ford nowadays... looking at a '75 F-150 (but it's looking glum )
I've owned 2 Ford trucks, an '83 F-150 (should have kept it) and an '86 Ranger. My grandpa drove a '64 SWB Ford..... forever it seemed. I still remember his using the choke like a cruise control... about 30 mph w/ black smoke 'a rolling out! I'd like to restore one some day.
I reckon I'm too new to Texas (about 18 monts) to be a Texan.. more like a transplanted hilly from Arkansas.

hey yall I'm new in here! I'm down here in waco, but home is Texarkana! I came down here to go to school at Texas State Tech. College(industrial maintenance). I own a 76 Ford F-250(I-6), I'm currently about to replace the head. But this truck was about the best $900 I've ever spent. Hope to be able to get some info from and share some info with ya'll.

Hello Ya'll, I am in Lovelady, 35 miles NE of huntsville. I believe they call this DEEP East Texas. They say if you get a dozen women from around here in a room, you might have a full set of teeth, I believe it, just go to Brookshires.
I have 4 Ford trucks and they all do me well.
Texas is where it is at, all of it.

Hello wille3r, Where do you work welding? I lived in Moss Bluff nearly 5 years, just lived here in SE TX about 20 months now. I worked as a maintenance foreman in Lake Charles. I had 3 great welder on my crew and man, those guys could COOK! I gained 20 pounds in my 16 months at that job... had some good times, too!
Oh, I'm a new Ford guy, too. We bought an '02 F-150 SC XL last Thursday.
Howdy to the forum!

Hey Tommy!!!
I work at Citgo for IMC. I usually push a crew also, but things are kinda slow right now, so I`m welding until work picks up. Good to hear from ya. My Grandpa used to live next to the Bluff in Gillis, right in the curve on 171. He`s gone on now. Where did you work?

William, I worked at PPG for 4 1/2 years, about 3 in engineering services, then about 1 1/2 in maintenance in the Silicas plant as a Maintenance Planner and Foreman. That last was a hoot, excepting the bad chemistry w/ the boss. I had Dave Smith as my lead welder and occasional setup as lead-man, a great guy and doggoned good cook to boot!
We lived on Gateway Dr. about 1/2 mile off 171.
I sure miss getting decent boudin down here in League City!!!!!
