Well our server room is equipped with a building UPS and hundreds of huge units directly connected...not to mention we have a few generators that auto kick on in those situations. That was one good thing about the flood, is we were able to get a bunch of nice new things hehe.

Well we lost our network for around a week. However we bumped off the local cable network and was able to get internet back up for certain individuals 2 days after the flood. And within a week we had the network back up and running for certain areas of the base. I guess that was the reason they gave us the awards, for getting it up and running in horrible conditions, esp since we were in the mud and muck diggin stuff out.
