October PA general chat thread.

Hey, I though I would get the October thread started a while. I was wondering if anyone was going to the Fall Carlisle car show this weekend. With all the rain, I am sure it will be a little soggy, but it will be the last show for six looooonggggg months. My brother and I will be there Saturday, so I will take a few pictures to share with you all.

Evening Harold. I was just going to do the same thing you just did - and start the October thread. Thanks for taking care of it.

I'm heading east this weekend but not to Fall Carlisle. Hopefully the weather will hold out, as at least out here they're calling for a break in the action heading into next week.

Hey Bill, I was just outside and its still raining here, and a little breezy. Weather man said the rain will stop but it will be cooler and windy here over the weekend. Kind of reminds me of back in the 70's when the car show was a baby in Carlisle and lots of vendors would get stuck in the mud. I worked part time for a farmer, who drove his tractor into the show and made a nice chunk of money pulling truck and RV's out of the mud. Still think it will be a good show, I'll just have to jump over a few puddles!! Well, my shift is about over, so I am going to finish my paperwork, and head for home.

No problem, I thought I would stop by on my lunch break, and now I am off to get my work finished, then I have the rest of the day to relax.

Howdy Pat, just finished up for the week, the rain has stopped, looking like a nice fall weekend so going real well.

How about you?

Been busy all day, but it's finally slacked off. Now just have to kill the next 40 minutes, so I can get out of here early! It's really nice out here. Did you guys get all of the rain I read about in the paper?

What other way to kill 40 mins than here on FTE.

The news said we got a tad over 8" of rain from the storm and the rivers are still raising.... good thing I don't live by one.
