Modern dome lights are insulated from ground because they're hot and the ground is done at the switch. I wouldn't try to mix and match the grounds if using a modern dome light with the integrated map lights. Change the switches to grouded type and wire the circuit as shown. No one will know the difference anyway. No need to make this more complicated than necessary.
