check engine light but no problem
ever here of the light coming on, but no problem, just had my truck with 171,174 codes, took it to a mechanic, changed the intake gasket , which is what i thought it was, ( already did pcv, vacuum hoses, cleaned maf, fuel filter) now the light is back on, mechanic says sometimes the light trips back on , but no problem, he inspected it, so im guessing the computer showed , at least yesterday that it is fixed,,,,anyone hear of light coming back on like that? going to get codes read again later today??

Those codes are serious codes. My brother had the same code on his van, ignored it, and the heat from the lean condition warped 2 valves. Check your fuel pressure, a weak pump may be the next suspect on your list.

1997 F250 7.3 powerstroke Deisel
my son ran my truck out of gas. I put fuel in it got in fired it up and started down the road. it is missing and don't have no power. I changed the fuel filter thinking it may have picked up access dirt out of the tank but no luck any ideas what may be the prob??
