78 bronco 429

i bought a 79 bronco with a 429 was this a stock option? Also i have no spark coming out of the distributor, i replaced the ignition box on fender well .changed out the distributor, and tried a new coil. i have power to the coil and power coming from the coil into the cap but nothing coming out of the cap any thoughts. i also wanted to know if there is a diference in the ignitioon boxs between the 351m and the 429 thanks

The only options for the 78-79 years were the 351M and 400 engines, both from the Cleveland family.

thats what i thought so there could be a whole boat load of reasons why i got no spark were the ignition boxs different between the 351m and the 429

Is there a rotor cap under the dizzy cap?

yes there is a button and i did check to see if they make contact using a drop off a paint marker

i still got nothing iam going to try a msd ignition something iam missing in the harness someone also told me that the 429 had something in the vacum system or something along those lines that also playded a role in getting spark any takers
