I'm going to scrap a '69 Crew Cab body which is on a '79 frame after I pull the parts I need.
The cab is badly rusted, I truly don't think it's savable.
I am willing to pull anything that might be hard to come by, but I don't know what is worth my time? Rear doors? Rear door glass?
My windows all work, the interior of the doors is great (and the exterior has some rust) the dash is great, HVAC stuff is there, rear seat is ok, fuel tank, etc.
If there is anything hard to come by, I'll gladly store it in a weatherproof place and try and find someone who needs it. I hate to see this stuff get crushed.
I'll be pulling the rear axle, front suspension, engine, tranny, wiring, and sliding rear window. Fenders and grill are "savable"
if i was around you i'd gladly take it off your hands but if you scrap it take off anything thats bolted on and is savable also you could cut off certain body parts if roof is good cab corners ...
Roof and cab corners have rust. I thought the cab was savable before I took out the dash wiring yesterday. The firewall is pretty much swiss cheese.
I mean, it COULD be saved, if someone wanted to do the effort. I just don't think it's worth saving. And I'm not that someone.
I will be leaving the rear seat in, unless someone needs one to re-upholster. I will gut the doors thought, or I may save the rear doors. The doors have some rust, but someone could save them as they are dent free, might be better than what they have.
Oh, and the glass. Is the glass worth saving? Can you just walk into Safelite and buy new windows or are they uncommon?
where I am at the rear sliders are almost impossible to find and are very coveted
also if any of the body panels have no rust and are in good shape save them nice to find at swap meets

Hi,
I think the rear doors are pretty much impossible to source, so I would keep them even if they are a bit 'sketchy' -- maybe they can be re-skinned and re-used.
I looked at a 69 or 70 (I forget the year right now) CC 4x4 in Calgary a couple of weeks ago. The guy wanted 2k for it, and it was pretty rusty, but it was completely complete and original. I was tempted, but I think my wife would divorce me if I shipped it home to our house!
any of the trim pieces rear doors glass instrument panels dash board floor boards rocker panels stuff like that i would pull from the truck cause its alot of hard to find stuff or really expencive to get so its something that if you sold it you could make some cash but be affordable to some one that needs it at the same time its crazy cause for me i need a voltage regulator and a circut paper for the back of my instrument panel on my 72 and thats about 200 bucks for that
