Seems like that would be a sweet spot for the 300 as far as fuel mileage goes. You aren't revving real high but you're making enough power that you aren't lugging the engine or having to downshift at ever mole hill!

Honestly though it almost seems to differ from one 4.9L to another. Mine sucks down the gasoline at 2,000 rpm.
