I just installed a Diablo Delta chip with switch in my F 250 SD V8 gas didn't have much luck with it though it would only run in stock position and not very well, after sitting all day it wouldn't start in any position? I removed the chip and made sure the contacts were clean without going to deep, still no luck? truck ran fine with chip removed. what do you think bad chip?? need to exchange it this week to stay under 30 days for RMA number.
Its best if you give us a call directly when you're having issues. Customer service issues need to be dealt with by calling someone.
A couple of things:
1. You say it wouldn't run very well in stock position. That's puzzling because in stock mode the chip is completely turned off. Are you sure you don't have it flipped over to the opposite position?
2. How cold is it when it wouldn't start?
Does your chip have a white dot on it? We've identified a very small number of Ford's that have an issue called a "lazy" computer. Its a timing issue and it only happens on lazy computers when the computer is cold. There's a work-around but you'll need to call us so we can determine if this is the issue.
Regardless of the cause, we'll get it working for you. Call us on Monday. 770-806-1955.
